My 900.00 E30 325ix in its natural habitat

Responded to an add on CL for this 325ix even though I had just bought another one. This one is a 5spd and ran out perfect during my road test. I could not believe how good this little car runs! I've put 1000's of miles on it so far and has not let me down one time. It's probably one my favorite cars.

After owning the car I was doing some searches for parts for my other ix and came across a thread where a few owners ago on this forum was doing a lot of restorative work to the engine.

So.. the rust. I want to address it in the worst way however with it being a daily driver right now I just can't park the car. I have another 325ix that is getting an auto tranny replaced so I'm hoping after this week I can park the white car and do some rust repair. At least get the biggest portion out and primed.

If you plan on taking off the ix side skirts and fender flares order new clips and inserts now. If yours are original be prepared for the majority of them to break and for your inserts not to hold very well if not at all. Plus the bottom clips usually won't lock on as tight. Nice find, both of my ix cars were $1200 a piece so you have me beat. Are you going to post pics of the other ix and some interiors of both?

rzerob Yes I plan to post some of the other when I get it back here. I have some from when I bought it but none since it's been in the shop.

Here are some of the red one. Has a bit of rust to deal with in the usual places on the front of the car. 100% complete though.

Awesome find! Almost looks like mine when I bought it, beside the extra doors. Good luck with the car and keep the rust well oiled or something to prevent the rust from getting worse before you can fix it
