So if you had both, would you choose this over a stock B25?

Never actually driven a B25, but considering it didn't lose any torque, and it's fun with a 2.93, I would say yes, I would choose it over a B25. Just conjecture though.Comment

Honestly i would. With a correctly sized rear end. ~3.5ish it would be great. 2.93 is luggy but you get the great tq down low.
It isnt as rev happy as a 2.5 but its pretty comparable.
and then its a perfect setup for a turboComment

Have this same set up in my 2002. Before that it was in my stripped 87 eta coupe. Thing was ballsy, although the car was light.
I love my 2.7i - if you can piece it all together relatively cheap and get the headwork done and throw a new clutch in, it's really not a bad set up. Like I said, it makes much more sense if you have access to the swap parts ON THE CHEAP!

Trying out a different look. Stripped paint from the valve cover, polished lettering with 400-600-1200 grit and polishing paste.
Also cleaned up the brake booster plumbing with some NPT fittings and JB-Weld.
Ohio => California => Vermont => Pennsylvania => Ohio this summer, still going strong!
