    mt baker autox before/after

none of the actual autox, it's a bit tough to take pictures while driving. it's such a nice area though that I had to take a couple snapshots.

at 6am next to my buddy's e36 cabby, nice and frosty (I hate parking outside!):

after everyone left, nice mountain bg:

the event was fun (lots of runs, low turnout, good food), but I'm getting to the point where the auto is really holding me back.. only a few more weeks (and 3 more autox weekends) and I won't have to deal with it anymore!

all you have to do is clean it.. that's about all I've done to the outside of mine ;)

eventually, I'll get a new camera.. still using a Sony FD-90 (that's right, floppy drives) that I bought in 2000. fortunately it has a nice lense and a lot of adjustments, and the battery lasts forever. takes pretty decent pictures for what it is..

probably not, considering I've only been autocrossing for 3 years ;)

seriously, at the beginning it really doesn't matter. my driving sucked and the first few outings are just trying to find the course. and despite the auto & extra weight, I've managed to do pretty well (top 10 finishes locally, top 1/3rd down in everett). but at every event this year it seems like I'm fighting my stupid transmission, and my drivetrain is now so sloppy now from all the beating (who says you can't shift an auto?) it drives me nuts on the street too. :p
