I got sidetracked this weekend and bought another 73 tii.

This one has a lot of really neat parts on it, including a rebuilt 10:1 euro-spec numbers matching tii motor, 5-speed, LSD, suspension tech springs, i.e. swaybars, h4 lights, etc.

This will be a good car.

Plans are to bring her back and make her pretty.

Did you reattach the guts to the housing via metal rivet or just bolt it all up to the body and let the screw keep it all together?

I have not replaced the rivet in the past mainly because i did not have access to a replacement so i removed as little of the original rivet as possible when disassembling the light. That way, although the assembly is not pinched together itself it is located and the body attachment screws pinch it. 100% functional.

It couldve been remedied if you had shaved the over side when you had it painted, but who am I to give advice on the car. Its obviously coming together great and I still get ideas of throwing cash at you to give me one of your cars, better that than throwing fisticuffs
