    Built OBD1 M54B30 Pic heavy

    Wassup everyone, I don't really post here much anymore but I am actually around E30s more than ever. With school and work I can't find the time to post or even read posts. Alot of guys including my friend and boss Dude8383 said I should share my one of a kind build.

    Engine:
    100% Rebuild Zero Mile motor (4500 miles as of 10/15)
    Fully Obd1 M54B30
    Head and block are from a 2004 325i (330 ans 325 use same blocks and heads)
    Pistons, rods and crank are from a 2001 330i
    330I intake cam, M52 Exhaust cam
    M50 Intake Manifold, Throttle body and Vacuum System
    Bosch Style 3 21lbs Injectors at 3.5 bar
    Harness was from a '95 325i auto with 413 ecu
    Glyco bearings
    Mahle Rings
    Condor Delrin 24v Mounts
    All seals are OEM or Elring
    Elrings 0.70 Head gasket (stock MLS thickness)
    Comp Ratio should be around 10.3:1

    Broken the motor in on stock e36 325 tune which gave me about 33-35 MPG cruising at 70. Currently on a custom tune from RK-Tunes and I get about 29-31 MPGs depending on the type of gas I run. Those numbers are actual based on miles drive and ACTUAL consumption. Don't wast time saying that the MPG gauge is inaccurate with my injectors because I'm not going off that.

    **I Run door to door with tunes S52s and on some runs they edge me out as I go into 4th. I Have 28LB Bosch style 3 injectors for E85 but I'm not switching until the spring because I don't have the patience for e85 cold starts. On e85 I will re-run everyone and they will get walked for sure.

    Driveline:

    G260 trans (car was originally auto, did the 5 speed swap back in 2010)
    Aftermarket 24v 14.5lb Flywheel
    Sachs Pressure plate
    Upgraded Friction disc
    Sachs Release Bearing
    OE Pilot Bearing
    OEM Pivot ball
    OEM Retaining Clip
    OE Fork
    Mitelli Slave Clyinder
    Custom One Piece An3 line from the master to slave (Hard line and rubber line deleted)
    Elring Output and selector Seal
    Delrin Mounts with custom brace

    3.46 LSD
    Ring and Pinion from an e28
    I had a spare 4:10 LSD which I used for the carrier and case
    Preload and backlash set to factory tolerances
    OEM Input, Output, Oring seals as well as crush sleeve, dust shields, collars locks and flange lock rings.
    Timken Bearings
    Z3M Finned Cover

    E36 Steering Rack
    E36 Tie rod ends
    Delrin Power steering delete

    OE subframe bushings
    Poly Trailing arms
    E30 M3 control arm buschings
    Koni Adjustables
    H&R Sports

    I have a custom coilover and brake setup pretty much ready to go on but I have no time.

    Togue Engineering 450lb front springs
    Eibach 700lb rear springs
    Allstar Sleeves and adjusters
    Toyota 4Runner 4 piston caliper (4x45mm pistons)
    Audi TT front Rotors
    Audi B5S4 Rear caliper to keep Ebrake
    Resprayed strut tubes with cut perches
    OE Hubs and Bearing
    OEM dust shields, Collar nuts and locks.

    I have some cheap 16x9 Wheels and 215/45 Dunlop tires

    I had 190E Mercedes wheels on my car for years which is how everyone new me, those will be going back on shortly.

    I have a CORRECT brake reservoir setup to go in using all Brembo components but I don't have the time to install that either.

    This is an awesome build. I have a question though, If you're using the '95 harness how are you controlling the variable valve timing for both cams? Or is VANOS deleted or disabled in some way?

      I'm currently running single vanos. The m52 exhaust cam does not have the gear for the vanos unit. I have a vanos controller to go dual vanos but its useless unless I put a stock m54 or m52tu exhaust cam in plus I am throwing in s52 cam when I go e85 so fuck it. Lol

          Did you change the shape of the intake ports on the m54 head to accommodate the m50 manifold?

              no, but I did make and adapter to delete the idle ports on the head. The m54 head has VERY little material so porting or reshaping the intake isn't ideal.

                    You ditched a lot of the things that make the M54 cool, but you still have an aluminum block 3L 24v. I approve :rofl:

                      ditched the stock manifold which makes accessing anything underneath a nightmare and limits my throttle options, a ccv system that is more trouble than its worth and dual vanos that I cant run with s52 cams. I think I saved myself from more headaches than anything. And thanks on the approval ��

                              did you buy flywheel and clutch parts with reference to g260 trans or the m54 engine?
