Oh what. I didn't know you sold it? Just thought you left it in RI while you did your Cali thang?
Favorite moment with this car would have to be bashing shit with your steel pan.
Bashing shit with the steel pan is what killed it lol. I was driving the car down to Georgia for SoWo, so I welded a steel plate to the bottom of the pan so I would have more material to scrape through, but I hit something extra hard in North Carolina and it folded the sides of the pan in, blocking the oil pickup and causing the engine to die. I towed it home and it sat while I gathered parts for an LS swap, but when I stripped the bay in preparation I found some frame damage I hadn't noticed before, so I parted it out and sent the shell to the crusher. I sold all the LS swap parts to fund the move out here.
shiboujin and 1991 e30 318is I noticed both of you guys are running fixed idler tension pulleys, where you guys throwing belts like crazy or was it more preventative?
I had to go to a fixed one because everytime I would go WOT past 5K the belt would pop. Looks like its a common thing

im using it because of my routing. not much belt on the water pump. also i use a 6.2 camaro water pump, so it has proper spacing and outlet is on proper side for rad. the oem tenshioner for a new camaro is crazy $. the manual one i can get more tension also so helps keep it from slipping. pics of it in my vert project link
