Very impressive to be able to preserve a car like that. What happened to the fender? Also, what's the point of the BMW certificate?

Did a little drifting in the sand making a turn, tapped a 530i's hind quarter.

The BMW Classic Group issues certificates to authenticate & document production details, same as Porsche COA.
25 years makes it a Historic/Classic vehicle here in AZ. No smog, special registration rates (~$60/3 years).

That's cool. What does BMW Classic charge for that? I may have to buy some property in AZ soon.

Those registration rates are good. In Brisbane, Australia, it's AU$680 per year for my 318is.

Thanks. We are the "COPPER State" but, unfortunately, the new AZ historic plates are NOT copper like the originals.
Ah, the FRAME! YEs, it's a real BMW dealer!

Here's a link to BMW Classic's new web site & the BMW Classic Certificate application. If you're not using Google Chrome, download it and add the Google Translate plugin for seamless translations.

                Cheers!

Definitely worth repairing that original fender. Everything else on the car looks like it should from new. Tons of little bits that 95% of other e30s are now missing.

Yep. That was early 2013. Later that year it won 1st in legends of the Autobahn concours - and again in 2015. The damage was ~ $800 and so minor, we didn't really have to file an accident claim but the other party insisted. Retired attorney that kept the claim open for a year just because he could.

I love it when you post! Your car is the reason I just ordered a set of brand new euroweaves! Keep up the good work man! Absolutely love the originality of the car!

Thanks! Even though my 15" are pretty nice, there's nothing like a new set of wheels!
