    It was a 51/49 decision for me too, but ultimately if I decide I want to make more power the 1jz will be much more willing.

    Sooooo... after a lot of soul searching and pouting as I look at the transmission tunnel and how much more I'll have to cut and re-weld, all the shifter modifications I'll have to do, the engine and transmission mounts, the oil pan sitting uncomfortably close to the earth I decided to switch gears (literally).

    I bought a newer 1JZ-GTE instead :) it may come with it's own set of headaches but at least maybe this way I'll be able to drive the thing in 2019.
