Car has now entered the "service bay" ... Jobs on the ticket are Oil Change, Fuel Filter Change & Rear brakes R&R.



Prepped the rear of the car for later, but wanted to knock out the oil & fuel filter changes before the morning overt burnt off...



Unfortunately looks like I ordered the wrong fuel filter (unless there is more than one fuel filter on the car?!) I will have to reach out to Rock Auto and see what happened, but the Oil Filter Change is done at 248k and change. Just shy of 5k miles in the ~7 months.

Alright, brake job is done. It started out 'fun' ... The wheels hadnt been off since the shop installed them with the 'new' tires. To say an ape torqued them on is an understatement. I broke the short extension, then the breaker bar too... Took the goliath breaker bar with the 1/2" drive to break the torque on them... Yeeesh (side note: look at all that brake dust caked on... )


I went with some PowerStop Ceramic pads and Rotors that were included as a package. Its a Daily Driver afterall...



I was suspicious about the rear rotors even though nothing was obvious. Luckily my suspicion was correct. The backside was wrecked... and so was the pad on that side.






I needed to make a quick run to O'Reillys to get the correct caliper compressing tools, but was able to get it done relatively straightforward.



Happy to have this wrapped up, relatively early in this tank so we will see if my MPG restores a bit as I was down about 10-15% in the last 6 months, which combined with the +50% increase in Diesel costs is a bit annoying.
