I really love those painted side skirts! They really give the car a balanced look with the OEM front "is" lip.
Thanks Mike! I agree, the front lip always looks so much lower than the rest of the car with the black rockers. Eventually I would like to paint the rear valance all silver as well to tie it together front to back.
I think they would look great on your 318is as well!
Those side skirts look great, where can one get them?
Nice ride!
BMW still makes them so you can get them from any BMW parts distributor. I bought them from Blunttech including all the hardware, they do a sale on them every once in a while. I know Guten and ECS also sell them in a set with all you need.
Did a quick google search and ECS has them listed on their website - Sport Side Skirts
Also just noticed you are in Finland, so if the US guys I listed aren't an option here are the part numbers on RealOEM
RealOEM is missing some of the quantities for what to order, but if you scroll down on the ECS page it list the number required for each part.
So happy to see she went to a great home! Funny you put Strömung exhaust on it, thats what I had on it at one point but sold it to buy Megasquirt and a full Revshit manifold back when I was considering turboing the M20.
She is a special car, happy to see it being taken care of!

Thank Bryan! I was lucky to be able to be her next owner. And the Strömung sounds glorious!
Made my first pilgrimage to The Vintage this year and already have the calendar blocked off for next year. It was amazing and already looking forward to next year. I met tons of great people went on several amazing drives and saw countless amazing cars.
My friend Dan's (danielmp) awesome 325ix with over 300K on the clock and still looks amazing. He sold it over 8 year's ago when he moved from Seattle back to VA and just bought it back this year and had it shipped to NC. A great friend and also the guy that got me hooked on E30s 6 years ago.
It was a time warp driving around near the hotel
Got invited to tag along with a couple guys and went on an awesome drive from Asheville through the mountains to the BMW CCA Foundation in and Zentrum Museum at the BMW plant in Greenville SC
Pulled up to the Zentrum Museum and parked right out front in the no parking zone for a photo shot and the employees loved it and didn't care that we parked there even while we toured the museum.
And the group continued to get bigger... Bradnic also joined with his amazing vert
Me and Raphael (Arch4ngel) pulling out of lunch. Awesome black S52 coupe, super clean with BBS RZs and some sweet Recaros.
I didn't take a lot of pics at the actual show. I was too distracted by all the cars and the heat, but there are tons on The Vintage Facebook page. Some of the galleries people have posted were buried with other post. So the links below are a couple of the galleries that you can jump right into with lots of great pics.
If you are on the fence about going next year don't be. Awesome cars and awesome people, it doesn't get any better than this.
Official Facebook group for fans of the biggest vintage BMW gathering in the country!
This is an event page. We will only allow postings about vintage BMWs , used vintage BMW parts for sale, and...
I forgot you knew dan, what a small world! I saw his white car in Seattle and that made me buy a set of RC090's. His car was clean (and I bought the houndstooth door cards from him)

He said he thinks his Alpine 325ixcar was Nicks car at the time when you bought the door cards. But he did stop by in his E28 535is to buy the power antenna off "our" car when you swapped in the shorty! Definitely a small world!
Dan helped settle my nerves about buying a car all the way on the other side of the country without seeing it in person. He saw it a few years before when he bought the antenna and said it was it was an amazing car!
Beautiful car, the show looks like a blast with all the Vintage cars lurking the streets.
If I could make one suggestion, paint the underside (molding?) of your iS skirts black, it really makes it blend better imo..
After several failed attempts due to weather and schedule conflicts, I finally met up with Mike.BMW and Sail Boat and Katie's Cars and Coffee. This was my first time going, I can't believe I never went before. It was amazing. I know Cars and Coffee is a pretty standard thing around, but for those of you not from around DC, this one is in Great Falls, which is ranked the 3rd richest town in America, so there are some pretty awesome cars that show up. It was way beyond the level of any event I had ever been to before. Here are some pictures and videos of Katie's Cars and Coffee on Instagram and on Youtube.
