Chronicles of Greta the Eta, daily driver

Couple pictures over ~2 years of ownership.

    As I got it:

01/1984 325e with LSD, power sunroof, automatic, cloth sport interior, ~83,000 miles. Original owner was an older guy who traded in a 2002tii for it according to the paperwork.

    Borrowed a wide angle lens.

    Added some front euro bits.

    Added some rear euro bits.

    H&R + Bilstein uniform.

Hanging out at Lars Andersen Cars and Coffee

Went to go look at stars and stuff.

    Manual swapped.

    All my friends drive Subarus.

    Got rear ended.

    Fixed!

Recaros were added a little bit before the accident.

    I like driving at night.

Tires were down to the cords on the bottlecaps and these came up for a great deal.

And that brings us up to current day. Just bout to roll over 100k

Stuff that needs doing in the near future: E36 steering rack sitting in my closet, rear subframe bushings, other mechanical stuff, some rust repair, the usual. Maybe an M52 swap when everything's really squared away, but that might be in a different shell.

I remember when you got rear ended and posted it on /r/E30. I take it you got her all fixed up?

Nice work! Early models look so much better with euro bumpers.

        I like the nighttime pics.

I hate that all the damage that happens to E30s is just above the bumper line... Im seriously considering raising my car so peoples plastic bumpers will be met head on with my metal bumpers for maximum destruction to the plastics and no damage to the E30....

Unfortunate reality when everyone feels an enormous SUV is an appropriate daily driver and that 2 feet is sufficient following distance :x

Heck, the first hit was because the driver 'thought the light turned green' when stopped at a red light, it's all just a mix of general stupidity and selfishness here. I need to move..

Wellp other drivers insurance (fuck Progressive) is denying liability because a 3rd driver pushed her car into mine so 'not our fault' so looks like I'm holding my dick in my hand to either fix this car or get another.

Heart breaking dude, but it looks like you've been through worse.

Any chance on fighting the decision? Do you have insurance information from the 3rd driver?

That guy ran and neither of us saw who did it, so what I've been hearing is that the accident is basically being treated as a double hit and run.

                        Christ.

Well, I know it's not ideal but hopefully at a minimum your insurance covers the damages.

I wasn't carrying collision on this car because I accepted that if I crash the car then it's on me to pay to fix, and also E30s get totalled easy, but if someone else hits me they're on the hook. Apparently not...

That was expensive, but we are back, again.

Got my valance painted and fogs from NZ.

Went to a friends house to install sway bars, exhaust, and depo smilies.
