Yes, stock bulbs. The city lights are wired into the parking lights. For now the low beam turns off when the high beam is on but I plan on messing with the relays to run them simultaneously.

Funny story, when I was first wiring the city lights, I accidentally blew fuse (23 i think) for the dash lights. I didn't know I did this, so I looked for hours with my multimeter testing every wire trying to figure out which wires were for the parking lights. It turned out the first wires I tried were the right ones all along...

      lol whoops!
Yeah, I think you have to jump two relay pins to get the lows to stay on when the highs come on.
Hows the front lip search going?

I've just got all the mounting hardware and was going to test fit and see if it fits my valence (even though it prob doesn't) If it doesn't, I was going to test fit it to my euro valence, and probably swap all that in after painting etc.

You can probably tell It's not exactly top of my priority list... I've been a little preoccupied, I've been looking at an uber clean E36 with/for my girlfriend and it looks like we're gonna buy it. I actually really liked how it drove. It's a 328i... so it's got my crankshaft ;D

What I've just realized I really REALLY need to do is swap that diff in. 1st gear and maybe second are really the only fun gears with my current diff. It's just sad.

got any pics of the e36? I've seen a zillion of them around but its super rare to see a really clean one.

What current ratio are you running/planning on swapping in?

It's a 3.46 Torsen from a Z3. I have it sitting in my garage lol. Currently on the stock 2.93 eta diff.

Here's the E36 with my E30. Original owner sold it, has the original pamphlet window sticker and everything.

                      Progress!

I got the new diff installed! ITS SO AWESOME HOLY SHIT!!
Before I didn't even like to rev it out, it just took too damn long, I felt like I was lugging it even in second. Now it's just zooooop straight up the tach. Maan.. this was long overdue. Like literally all the gears are better. There are no downsides. It's still good on the highway. I mean shoot, before I'd be going down to third sometimes on the highway to speed up. It was awful. Now it's amazing. I'm so happy.

Although... Doing this job made me realize why I was dreading it. It was not that easy. Getting a breaker bar on the top bolts... Friggin crows foot was the only thing that fit. It was a struggle.

And APPARENTLY the Z3 this diff came out (2001 3.0 AT) has larger axles than an E30 and therefore a different output flanges.
The 323i had a Z3 diff from a 1999 2.5 AT, and it had the same outputs as an E30.
So, I had to swap output flanges with my old diff. After doing some searching, the forum bois claimed they just slide out or pry out if they're stuck. No bolts holding them in or anything. I used my fan clutch tool to pry them... gave em a yank and sure enough, they came out. Same splines so they swapped no problem. Legos!
