Thanks for all the feedback. I owe you all a number of updates! I'm at work and don't have access to my photos right now, but I'll upload some this evening.

I've stayed quite busy with the project. All the trim was removed, black trim was painted with SEM and the chrome was polished to remove as much of the water/mineral stains & cloudiness as possible (this was NOT easy). But new chrome trim was really expensive, so I spent the time.

I've ordered new window seals to replace the dry/cracking ones. Most of those seals are installed. The window have also been lubed and run up & down much smoother (without any squeaking noises).

Right now I'm trying to make sense of the previous owners stereo install. My plan is to keep the amp in the trunk, remove the subwoofer and replace the aftermarket Alpine head unit with an OEM CM5908 radio. Took me a while to trace everything yesterday, but I think I know where things go now. (probably famous last words though!).

After not driving the car for a few months I make a short trip over the weekend. Here's a shot from then:

Once I got home I took all the seats out and started work on the stereo. My new leather arrives tomorrow and I can't wait to start that project this weekend.

Great car, and looking good! You are into a bunch of details that I'd like to tackle too, after I get all of my mechanical work done.

Regarding the 13-button OBC, check out this other thread:

          https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/sho...d.php?t=418494

You can buy OBC replacement LCD displays from this seller in Germany. Use Chrome to translate the page if you can't read German:

          Enjoy your projects!

Beautiful work on the cabrio Nate! You're doing the stuff I always wanted to do and never had time for.

I bought the car in Tacoma in 2008 with 85k miles on it and spent a lot of time on the mechanicals. The previous owner was in CA and had just moved up WA a year or two before selling it.

Some pictures from when I had it up for sale.
