paint it or not?? help me decide

So I am nearing undertaking the job of painting my red 90 m3. The question here is - should I paint the CF hood or not? I am leaning twoards painting it, but I would like some other input as well. The obvious main concern about painting it is that once it is painted, it's never going back. The rear shot is to help people get an idea of how the whole car looks, and how the CF either does or does not work with the theme of the car in general. All constructive comments welcome.

    CF

    Rear

    Non-CF

    Thanks for the input dudes,
    Ted

The ViS hood does not fit good enough to be painted in my opinion. It's just going to look like you have a shitty misaligned hood.

ok tough choice..... i like the black CF, its a great contrast to the red of the car, however with more and more people doing CF hoods, its becoming played out and looks, well in my opinion, untasful. I have the vented DTM Gr A mirrors and Im leaving them unpainted along with a rear evo flap and a splitter one day, but i think a hood is way too much to be in CF, especially on our red cars. my 2 cents that is.

So i guess I would go with painting the hood, however maybe only on the outside. leave the underside exposed so that it hints at what its all about and reminds you of what you really have. cus in the end its all about you and your car. tough decision IMO, but im sure one way or another your M will still look great.

Its either got to be the exposed CF hood or put the OE hood back on there.

If you wanted to paint it you probably would've gotten fiberglass anyway. If you still have the OEM hood, put it back on and keep the CF one around if you ever have a change of heart.

I have strongly thought about this option.

I would say paint it. Also if the hood fits bad get the evo seals, heard of this on someone elses M which helped with alignment.

They're already on there as seen in the pic.

CF is not meant for paint.
