Thank you! Two light coats of rustoleoum primer and 3 light coats SEM trim paint. I considered boiled linseed method, but really happy with how this turned out.

Is the SEM trim paint a satin or a gloss?

        https://www.amazon.com/SEM-39143-Tri.../dp/B000EM019O

I'm being cheap and wondering if another brand(cheaper) would also work.

Also, how does the vents by the windshield wipers come off? Do they have screws or do they just pop out?

Just regular old SEM trim Black...I guess Satin would be fine too

Also, can use this as guide to remove the cowl vents

To remove wiper arm open the cover on the wiper spindle and remove the nut. The arm will then lift off. Have the wiper arm folded at 90deg angle when pulling off.

Well the car is on the road and super happy with the end result. Paint needs a lot of work and interior is in desperate need of cleaning, but overall a great little cruiser. Definitely not as fast as the 335d, but way more fun!!!!

Coding plug is in so that we aren't thinking the motor just blew up...haha

                Final tuning

Black door cards and rear seats are in...

                Ready for the road...

My son and his friend attempting a quick wash to hose off months of grime

                Time to bring her home..

Made the 2hr drive without a hitch and in the driveway

Ready for the road ahead....mostly going to hibernate over the coming winter months'

was that a dyno session or is that local emissions stuff?

Indeed a dyno run. Thankfully 1996 and older are safety inspection only in NYS. It's a Dyno Dynamics dyno and reads about 10-15% below a Dynojet. I may attempt a more aggressive tune once the motor is fully broken in, but for now, it's plenty.

Poor video of the last run. Approx 196whp and 193ft/lb

Thank you!...at first we were really surprised how quiet it is at idle...but driving it is a blast and the sound comes alive as the s52 starts getting into it's power band!

That is a great photo. Love that you can see the road curve off in the distance.
