It’s a Sachs I believe that is OEM not the original because the original trans is an auto lol this is a swap build. Clutch is brand new.

Make sure your mind is straight find the FILL HOLE FIRST AND OPEN IT.


DO NOT OPEN THE DRAIN FIRST.



I've had friends open the drain first , purposefully or by accident. and the realized the drop in pressure pulls in the fill bolt and your fucked since you wouldn't be able to open the fill hole.
But let's not consider it's a 30 year old car. The fill hole might be welded shut by now.

So please open the fill hole first.

WTF?!?!?! Not true. You open the fill hole first in case the drain gets stripped and you aren't stuck with an empty trans in the mean time. If you open the drain first, only thing the fluid will do is "glug, glug" since there's no air getting to the top of the casing, and probably make a mess since half of it will miss the drip pan you have underneath.

Easiest way to tell is you fill it until it starts to come out of the fill hole lol. It should be filled to the bottom of the plug.

Well nothing came out I had the bottom sealed for the fill but I can tell you it was exactly 2 quarts.

Fill it till it starts flowing back FROM THE FILL HOLE.


Not the bottom he means the borrom of the "fill hole screw" like a bathtub to the rim.
