After driving my friends 89 with the m50, I really wanted one of my own. The plan then was to get s50 cams, software and exhaust. Now it may just stay stock while I seek out an m/s52. I dont think it will come out though and I'll probably just make it a semi quick daily instead of super fast street car. I hope it will be fun!

josh, you can come down saturday and help me out with some small stuff.

it will continue to run very rich until you get an exhaust setup going with a O2 sensor. On my car, the right chip from Turner (they sent me the wrong one the first time) and an O2 sensor were the keys to running well. I passed emissions in my area with flying colors

His has actually been done for awhile. We got the motor in pretty quick but couldnt get it started. After discovering everything was perfect we found out someone put the crank reluctor wheel on upside down. It took over a month to get his running, but its been running well. That car will probably be for sale now that he has the m3.

As far as the speed thing, This is the 4th motor swap I've done this year, 3rd e30 related, so its getting easier.

I'm getting pumped.. i really want to drive it. I'll be getting the o2 and exhaust hooked up this weekend and try to put some miles on it.
