This car's been for sale for a long time. '86 with 38,000 miles, and it looks brand new. Too bad it's so expensive. I'd like to buy it and then perform surgery to make it look like the one above.

524td would be a fun project. Ditch the diesel and you can swap engines to your hearts content and never have to worry about CA smog

Not quite, you can either tap into the check panel power or the sunroof motor power.

E28's are gangster as hell. I just don't like how dated the interior looks compared to E30's even.

Such great cars, when I first saw it I did not believe my eyes. I thought it was a replica, but non the less it was the real deal.

As much as I hated the US bumpers when I bought my E28, when they are tucked they don't look bad at all... Euro bumpers would be sick as hell, but at close to $1000 new and $500 or more used, they are long way down the road... She'll be a turbobeast before she gets euro bumpers fo sho.

I'd like to buy it and then perform surgery to make it look like the one above.

Very beautiful car. Sad to hear that you don't own it anymore. You should upgrade to a nice S38 powered e34 M5. ;)

Yeah, finding an e34 that hasn't been ridden hard is tough. It seems like there's more clean e28s out there than e34 M5s. I looked at old and newer BMWs for a LONG time before I bought my e30. I ended up with it because I've always liked the look and my boss at work had the entire driveline + wiring + dme out of a 95 M3 sitting around. I knew it was going in something, just wasn't sure what till I found my e30.
