No. The reason you repaint the whole car is so the paint will match. If you just paint what was damaged, that area will be brandnew paint, while the rest of the car will be however many years old it is. Paint fades over time, you'd never notice it unless you painted just one part of the car.

if you have a rollcage, chances are you have a racing seat and a harness, i dont know if you've ever been in a harness, but your head isnt going anywhere.:ohsnap:

True on the fact that paint does change etc. However a GOOD body shop should be able to blend and make the match close. If the car was mine and the rest of the paint was in good shape I'd just match it and drive it! However I do know how it goes when you get hit and the paint is next to impossible to match. Not like I own a 62 beetle with oxidized paint.

Now for the roll cage.
I don't care if you have the best restraints ever. Unless your tracking the hell out of the car and plan on actually quite possibly rolling it, why put it in except to be a fanboy. If you ever get into an accident good luck with the jaws of life trying to cut through it. And how many people actually install and wear proper 5 point harnesses when they are commuting on a daily basis? Rollbars and racing seats are designed for what... oh wait RACING!!

Of course this is all my subjective opinion. However I do put a big value on my head.

Why not paint the whole car? I mean if i am paying for basicly 1/2 a car painted and blended why not just do it all right the first time. And make my engine bay pretty while im at it.

And for the cage, it wont be a full "cage" i guess i should have rephrased myself to "roll bar". it will be a weld in roll bar style, with a few extra poles basicly. THIS CAR IS BEING BUILT FOR EXTREME RACING ONLY!!!(&^
