and my new mk2 .. just brought down to the earth last night with h&r ultra lows.. now i gotta get some wide wheels and improperly sized tires hahaha

I hate to be the neg. one, but that car just does nothing for me. It looks so poorly porportioned compared to the golf/jetta IIs here in germany. a 4 door jetta?????? PUKE! sorry.
as far as the stuff he has done, very clean- but it just looks so out of proportion, and the single round lights look like crap in a jetta IMO.

Don't get me wrong I like VW's, but why is it that all the non metallic colors have orange peel finish, (see fender picture) is it that the factory does not see anything wrong in it.

It even happens in brand new ones. (Just a thought).

every single paint job in the world(including metallic colors) has orange peel to some degree(even ferrari's). wether you(or the dealer) choose to wetsand it and polish it is a different matter:D

well thats how its gonna be until i finish building my rms for it :) i do like the steelies though . i might have em widened to 8s .. well see and for the 4 door hater.. this is my fav mk2 :)

No doubt about eurotuner not being a great magazine... But davids car was perfect for the mag... no performance and a lot of bling. tastefully done tho. I cut and welded the rear fenders, the antennae holes and the fender lamps. I put his RM's together and made them not leak, and I did most of the body reapair and primed/wetsanded the car for paint. The kid was more than excited about the publication, to see all that hard work recognized by a mainstream magazine is amazing. When i finish my e30 I hope to have mike kippen get it into PBMW with his photography skills, hell i would be happy if eurotuner gave it a 4 page spread!
