got the motor in, got the suspension and 5 lug swap sorted out, got the big Brembos on...

never mind the rims, they are there for rolling the car around the shop only

waiting on few more parts to fire up and start the motor...

Sweet project! I'm very envious of your resources... :)

Sorry if I missed it, but what steering rack are you using?

Any reason you chose a ratty Cabrio for the project.

No offense, just thought you might have snagged a nicer example.

When you painted the engine bay did you remove the sound deadening from the firewall? Once I pulled my motor I was pleasantly surprised to see a rust free engine bay, then I peeled some of that foam firewall stuff and see surface rust. I got to tear it all out i think, hopefully it's replaceable. Nice project.

It's good to see shops that do that kind of work, do it well, and do it fast. 2500 aint bad really for the labor involved. Not that I could afford it, but I think that's reasonable.

            Awesome dude...

I really wanted to do that body conversion to my cabby... but you know... I was cheap back then.

Can you post pics of the process of molding the flares to the body? I've always been curious how that happens.

because I have to ripp every body panel off?! Why would I need a nicer example if I am changing the color, doing the motor swap, redoing the suspension, brakes, completely changing all the body work and fully redoing the interior?

This is going to be one nice summer cruiser

Ah. I was referring more to the corrosion, as I imagine there's quite a bit of rust repair after seeing what the front valance looked like.

Anyway, I'm sure it'll be show worthy when you're finished. Just had to ask.

Awesome Vlad, simply awesome. Are you staying OBD2? I only ask as I see the S52 still wearing it's original intake. Or is the conversion happening at a later stage?

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.
