Got a new whip!! Well, it will be... teaser.

So I decided not to do a 24v swap. Instead I found a swapped car that fits my needs to a t. Early model, 4 door manual. Aka, 1985 318i with a Mazda 12a Rotary engine from an 83 RX7. With Corolla GTS seats baby!

Psych! This is just the platfrom of what is to come. More pics below :)

My friend sent me that who is a rotor head. I just havent been to terribly impressed with rotors unless they have a bridgeport/huge single...but they still don't last long at all.

I did, pretty much got it for free. It moves. That is all I cared about. Oh yeah, for those that dont know what all those parts are, its for my LS_ conversion, running dry sump. :)

Thats all I am doing too! It just happens to be in a BMW shell. I dont know what the mazda engine was supposed to do in there, its crap. but runs and drives.

Yeah, rotaries are the WORST to troubleshoot problems...

Looking forward to the progress with the LS1.

Right, but that only solves the problem of fitment. The dry sump also lowers the entire block almost 4 inches. All the mounts are already fabbed up. Using the t56 6 spd. One thing I dont really spare is expense. I hardly ever let cost get in my way unless its astronomical.

I viewed this car as two things; one was a car that fit what I wanted in a chassis/shell; two, saving an early 318 from uncertain demise.

This car will be all about go. LS* and 5 lug coming first, with a stripped interior. Little different route than the s50 powered black one.
