I do not have anymore pics of the spoiler and I would wait till Blitzer speaks for himself. Again its their New Year right now and he has been on but really late and not every day. Im still sending emails back and forth.

I don't want to hate on ryan or his prodicts, he's nice enough to provide the E30 community with a nice product.. but those splitters are pretty much worthless for anything other than looks.

getting them to "protect your lip" is ludicrous, they only make your lip stick out further and more likely to hit something and break off. not to mention the point of a splitter is added downforce, but those splitters (in combination with the flimsy is lip) are pretty much worthless for that too.

but don't let me stop you, they do look nice. I just wanted to get that off my chest. ;)

Well I think most of us understand that. Most of the cars are daily drivers or weekend hill runners, not race cars looking for added down force.

I think they help protect them. I understand that they make 'em stick out a little bit further, but they def. help add to the rigidity of the lip. Mine has flown off at 80mph on the highway, ran over by other traffic, shot to the shoulder, and I installed it again with new clips. They also help for those with body-colored lips by keeping the bottom edge where its rounded from getting scraped.

I agree that for downforze and handling they are useless(even tho Jordan tried to prove that they "lowered" his car while at highway speed...) and that they are mainly for looks.

.. i guess for guys like Gordon and me, the splitter(functional in a minimalistic kinda way?) is also for the aesthetics... the mtech2 bumper does look a tad more complete with it... and the ryanG splitter on the IS looks really cool...

i know the purists or hardcore racers wud consider it an impractical visual add on.. but c'mon guys.. a lot others amongst us love our cars and we dont drive an e30 just to thrash it to bits senselessly... we drive it cos its a great car!

the e30 is an icon in my op, and people smile when they see a well kept 30 purring along the road.. (same as they would also be left agape wen the hard trackkers impress them running circles around much newer-supposedly-technically-more-advanced-cars...!)...

so, in short.. a little pamperin of our babies... and the accompanying minor inconvenience is, in my view, a little xtra effort well worth making, to keep our mighty icons riding high..... to show the new cars old greats still have the XXX-factor..

i've got nuthin against the manymany well dressed 36s/46s & 90s i see on the road with their machismo *bling-bling* AC/HardT-gay / Scnitzaht-zung/ kits running around... they're really beautiful... BUT honestly... a dime a dozen...BUT wen i see the many pics up on this forum of very well maintained and tastefully done e30.. now THAT gets me smilin silly....:drink:

anyway, so much for ramblin... hope you guys wud think the splitter's worth putting up on the mtech30 once Gordon gets it.,.
