Picked up my new daily driver today

My 92 4Runner was starting to get tired, and nearing needing a major service (belts, bushings, waterpump, suspension, brakes) so it was time to retire it.

Finished the paperwork a few days ago, and it arrived today.

2007 Nissan Xterra Off-Road 6-SPD.. I went with the Off Road package as it gave me a near fully loaded Xterra, and I got to keep my manual transmission.

Came with more skid plates, stiffer shocks, and the E-Diff/Rear Locker..Will be fun to get it offroad at some point.

Congrats! Those really are great SUVs. A friend has a 03 model with nearly 100k miles, and it still runs strong.

Be careful with the hatch release when its cold. I have replaced one because it snapped off in a guys hands and it was bitch to get open with only part of a handle to replace it. Sweet rig. Hope it is as good as your previous 4runner. Those are pretty much built proof other than the HGs.

Congrats James, you'll enjoy it I'm sure.

Looks like it's time for another road trip to Cali to break it in. ;)

That truck will definately lengthen the schedule to finish your car. Your about to be sucked into the comfort and reliability vortex.

Nice looking suv. How does it handel in the turns? I drove an 04 x-terra 5 speed a little while ago and I actually liked it a lot. I did not think that a 5 speed suv would be nice, but I was wrong.

I commute 130 miles a day to my office, I need something reliable that I can drive in any weather condition. My E30 is far from that perfect daily driver.

needless to say its getting picked up next month, and finished in time for the picnic.
