        light grit water sanding + paint cleaner will bring that red back and more than likely double the amount you will get for the car...

                    That does suck, as everyone has said before it's a game with insurance. The lady's company will probably try to blame you, your company will blame her and they'll fight about it amongst themselves and decide who to screw. It sounds like your brother will be ok, if the car does get totalled buying it back would be worth it, for the parts, I wouldn't sink that much money into fixing it, no offense ment there, it's just not a financially sound decision based on the amount of work it appears to need.

                    Finally, my car is safe because I can't drive it, thank god! :P
