Another update from Sean...and his SuperEta

Well...here I am, on a Friday night, the weekend before finals week, procrastinating. I figured I'd post some recent pictures.

Not much has changed, I got an exhaust put on. Consists of a Magnaflow Muffler (14815) with stainless muffler and tips. Had a friend of a friend do the piping work when I was home over christmas. Comes off the head with some custom made shorties I bought on r3v for like $100 (thanks EtaSport! :)). From there, I had him do dual 2" down to a y-adapter, where it went down to a single 2.5" pipe. Then, I had him weld in flanges so I could have one of two center sections underneath my car. A) straight pipe OR B) High flow Catco Cat and Magnaflow 18" resonator. Then it goes back to the muffler. It's LOOOW. I scrape a lot, and have to entirely avoid speed bumps now. Not sure if any of my pics show how low it is...meh.

However, it sounds incredibly sweet. Straight piped, the exhaust sounded SO FUCKING MEAN. I could rev my engine at a light, and everyone would look at my terrified. With the cat and resonator, it's definitely not as raspy, and doesn't drone (oh god....does it drone when straight piped!) - but still manages to sound very very sweet. It's got an amazing growl to it. Needless to say, I'll get my videos up eventually, just don't wanna mess with that yet. In some of the pics, the muffler is misaligned. I had to have it mounted better - to keep it from moving. It's a lot better now, but still not absolutely perfect. Oh well. lol

In all honesty...that's all that's changed with the car. Roof's beginning to fade pretty bad. I busted my lip over christmas break, went head first into a dip, and saw it comin but too late. Put it back together, but you can see where it was mended in some pics.

School has kept me quite busy, and I'll be heading to Indio, CA this summer for a coop with Granite Construction. I'm really glad the motor is good for go for a while! :)

Recently hit up a driving school in Hastings, NE as well...some pics of that below.

Anyway...on to the pictures! Enjoy...and leave comments if you'd like.

Covered...but my snows drive thru anything, as long as I don't high center on snow! lol

    Yep...anything

What can I say...I was happy as can be playin in the snow! Look at my lip getting up close and personal to the snow!! LOL

I had a little snow built up after my night of fun...on our way back to school, I got pulled over. Guess I had too much snow covering my plate??! HAHAAA

Studded tires love pavement...those are from me, and remain in the same spot to this day! HAHAAA

**my current desktop...:) (why it's widescreen) ^^

Random pictures I took in the black hills

Looking at this pic, you can see my nice shiny new muffler. :)

Under-car look of the exhaust. Flanges are rusting, but for the most part, it's holding up good.

Me teching my car before the HPDE...this was my work spot. Did oil, put front lip back on (had to come off to get car on exhaust rack) and checked things over. I got some awesome looks!

Pictures taken down the road from Motorsports Park Hastings

Picture taken in Hastings, NE when I washed my car at the track the Friday instructors were driving.

In between heats...notice my nice brakedust covered RZs...:) Oh...and the mending spot on my lip...lol

    Hittin the track!

My favorite turns! 11 and 12 at MPH!

    Oopsie...is that a pointby?!

The owner of Motorsports Park Hastings had this sweet bus - removed all the chairs, and put in couches, and matresses - I was in the bus with around 40 other people - and we did about 4-5 laps on the track - WE HIT 50 ON THE STRAIGHT (maxed out the bus). He has the muffler coming out right behind the entrance door and up the side. He's got an amazing sense of humor...it was awesome! hahaa

Well...there ya have it. say what you want...just thought I'd share! :)

Thanks for the compliments, guys! :)

Suspension is IE3s with Koni Single-Adjustables, running 15mm of pads in the rear and none up front. (I wouldn't run this much, but when I load my car down to drive to school, the ass gets loooowwww)

car is looking fantastic sean. any plans on painting the bumpers? it looks fine as is though.

is that the old rieger copy that greg sold on here a couple years back? I destroyed mine last october (being careless). I replaced it with a eurostyle replica which was waaaay nicer.. but then I creamed a possum on the freeway. still waiting for my 3rd rieger lip to show up so I can have it painted. :(

                Oh boy...sounds like badluck!

Yep...still the replica. I tore mine apart when I took a left turn off of a main road. I was paying more attention to traffic, and to make it in time to avoid an oncoming car, i went quick. Did NOT see the huge water drainage dip I went head-first into. Needless to say, I heard a huge THUD and when I stopped, the front right corner was hanging by a single ziptie and there were about 3-4 cracks all over the lip. It was really cold that night too.

I should have gotten before pics. I did what jordan did, and cut the lip in half to try to fix the probably the replica had with fitting. It was in about 5-6 pieces. Got it back into one using SHITTONS of fiberglass. It wasn't done perfect...but you know what, from far away, it still completes it's purpose...making my car look mean.

Eventually, I'd like to get a nice one, but that will come in time. :P

And yes, when I get a new front bumper (mine has a crack in it, that doesn't look fixable) I will get both of em painted body color, and combine them with some euro trim. The black bumpers have really grown on me, but I think body color would still look better. :D

mine first one didn't actually break, it just cracked. I could have fixed it but I didn't think it was worth spending any more time on it.. I asked the body shop guy how much it would have cost to fix it back to new, and it was more than a new one!

the eurostyle one barely needed anything, just a quick block down, primer and paint. it would have probably held up better but that possum was seriously the size of a dog.. and I hit it at 80. lol
