Dont get me wrong i love the m-tec kits, amazing. I bought what i thought would look good and went with it. I love the cars you guys have, but couldnt afford m-tec.

You don't need to have a body kit to have a nice looking car. The factory bumpers/valences (either early or late model) look way better than what you have, and cost less to get. Seriously, I'm certain the team of experienced designers who penned the E30 have better taste than you, and me for that matter.

Yes, there are only a few bumper / spoiler / side skirt / lip combos that most people use, and that's because they are the best looking ones out there. These guys aren't trying to build E30s that look like Hondas, they are building ones that have all the coolest stuff that was available for these cars back in the day, like Mtech I and II kits, Alpina stuff, ACS stuff, etc. Yeah, there are about 4 or 5 wheel styles that are really common on these cars, and that's because they are the ones that look the best. Most of the E30 guys that are really into the clean euro look are going to have similar stuff on their cars depending on the vintage (early and late body), and that's just fine with me. The more clean E30s the better. Don't bitch about it.

Your argument has some pretty weak spots. New2bmw has a point. A lot of people on this forum mod their car in similar ways. You can't deny that. And obviously it's because the accessories that you all choose look the best to YOU. You can't argue that they are the best looking accessories available for E30s PERIOD, though. That would be a blatant lie.

"Best looking" is completely subjective, and this guy's car is proof. What looks good to you might be boring to him, and what looks good to him might be offensive to you guys, but it's his car. You have the right to say whatever you want about it, but everyone's lack of respect on this forum is pretty apalling. Just remember, even if you're saying something rude on the internet, it reflects on you and the kind of person you are, and right now I'm pretty disappointed in most of you.

Best looking is subjective, but I was speaking in terms of the E30s that are regarded as beautiful by the majority of the hardcore E30 crowd. If you'd like some examples I will be happy to show you. These cars generally wear Mtech or Euro body parts and BBS, Ronal, ACS, Alpina, or Borbet wheels... And guess what, they are the hot shit!!

I think the ammount of time and effort you put into this car is shows your dedication to the project. The rear bumper really doesn't do the amazing paint job justice. I don't think it works with the rest of the car precisely because its so curvy compared to the boxy straight edges of the E30 body. This is probably the reaction you are going to run into with most people that see those bumpers. But you didn't build it for everybody else. You built it for your own enjoyment. More power to you. Can't wait to see it finished. 8-)

You might not have to do the same thing that everyones doing, but you shouldn't go through all that hard work you did to the car, and then slap a rear bumper on like that. That is hands down the most awful looking rear bumper I have EVER seen on an e30.

Thanks to the members who can at least attempt to look outside the box and have said some nice things. Wow, you can really get a feel for what people are like by posting pics of an unconventional e30. All i have to say is that the best thing about this is that i think the majority of you have said that the bodywork and paint look good, thats great, it was the most difficult and i am glad that others think it looks good. The only real issue many of you have is the bumpers, especially the rear. Like I said , I am happy with it. I do agree that it doesn't play the best with the square lines of the car. But as I also said, i am keeping it the way it is. A bumper is a pretty large part of the whole look of a car but in all honesty , if you were ripping apart the job i did on the rest of the car I would be a hell of a lot more concerned. Thanks for realizing the hard work that went into this even if you don't like the end results.
