    Progress...

    Or lack thereof.

This is the first day in the last three months that Blunt hasn't bugged me to work on his 02, and I had some free time this afternoon so I worked on my car. I wasnt very motivated but I managed to install my new taillights. This meant breaking out the cleaner wax and cleaning behind the taillights. I cant mount the filler until my new plates arrive.

And I did the dual trunk light mod...

And I decided to get one of the doors sound deadened. I'm only doing the vertical surfaces in the doors, rear quarters, and rear firewall.

At the rate I'm going, its going to be a while...

Interesting. Does the Dynamat really cut down the road noise sufficiently?

Yes, when done correctly. For me, I like the mass it adds to the door. It makes the car feel very solid when you shut the door.

Dual truck lights for the win! I did the same!

Oh, and hows your muffler mounted? Mine still sticks out a bit far, basically to prevent carbon buildup on my bumper as per reccomendation from the exhaust guy (and it's fine) but sideways movement is still an issue, and it's still further down than I'd like. Yours looks stock!

Yup, bought it from him last October. Its just been sitting since then.

The Dynamat came from Ebay. I bought a bunch for my DD, I'm just using a couple sheets on the E30.

And the exhaust is a Stromung, sounds great...

I've heard this before, I might end up doing the same just for this reason.

                            dyna mat

these things lower the sound, but its pretty darn heavy. I would definitely use it sparingly. You can easily put a good 50lb of dynamat just doing the door panels and rear seat. IMHO its really overkill, but I put it behind my speakers :P
