This happened to me as well....but something good came out of it.

I found out just how durable they are. I just pulled them off after I got 1 screw out. I figured if they broke I'd just get a different pair. After some forceful pulls and bends, they came off....no harm done!

i attempted to just pull one off after getting the back screw off but the car was pretty much settin on the ground and it broke in half, also the edge that holds it on is pretty sharp, cut my hands up a bit.

Honesly, who cares that they're Ford? They're just pieces of urethane with a Ford logo stamped on them. It's not like they're Ford intake manifolds or something, they're just a shaped piece of urethane. Shit, they're probably better quality than 90% of the aftermarket garbage out there.

For anyone that's interested, I've started a thread on the modification and installation of them in the Body and Paint forum.

I really like the look of those. I wonder how they'd look on a black 4 door...

I'm still astounded at how well they fit. We cut mine down last night and got the endcaps modified. I need to do a little finish work on the rough ends, but they're pretty much ready. Urethane is kind of a bitch to sand, it's very flexible. I've got a thread going in Body & Paint on my progress so far.

You know, I would mount them to a later model with a rear skirt, but on my model I think it would look wierd with the front valence then the side skirts and no rear. What do you guys think?
                      Here is a pic.

it wouldn't look weird because you'll eventually get a rear apron ..... so i say go for it .

(And yea, I'm thinking of putting mine up for sale, I can pick up a set of these and sell my iS skirts and have enought money to buy a DMM I'm looking at.)

Well WAY OT - but oh well...

I'd love a fluke, I know I could "trust" it - but at this point I need features not accuracy...

It's a full featured DMM + a built in sound level meter, thermometer, luxmeter, humidity meter all in one, backlit LCD...ect..
