... see, I dont see why people would make a big deal about the taurus skirts. I mean, c'mon they're not fiberglass...

I think WE ALL have more respect for a plastic kit than a fiberglass replica kit. no? Am I alone here?

rofl I had no idea that there were any Taurus "fans" out there...What to they do at meets? The cars aren't that interesting to look at, they don't have any performance merit, and they suck at the autox. The only halfway decent Taurus was the old SHO, and even then only because it was a stick with a really good engine.

They sit around and make fun of SVT contours, all the while thinking that they themselves are 4 door mustangs.

That kit is factory, it was the Taurus SHO "Plus" Package.

I got mine off of a wagon. All i used was my screw driver/can opener on my swiss army knife to take them off. As for the end cap, i gave it a twist and the rivit just broke off and that was that.

I just kind of stepped on them, and they just pulled off. Though admittedly, I broke one of them doing it (fortunately there were many Tauruses). Ironically, most of the Tauruses at the yard were already stripped of their skirts.

I also just stepped on em. I took the two screws off at either end, and didnt bother with the pop screws on the bottom. I took the screws on the ends off, pulled it down a little and stepped on it, inching my way down the side until it popped off. Came off in mint condition too. As for the end caps, I couldnt get the pressure screws off, so I just kinda pulled em and popped it off since i wont be using that screw spot anyway.

                          Man, those look good.

I've driven a older Ford Taurus SHO, with a 5-speed and the Yahama V6, it was a very fun car to drive.

Besides the "is" and the "ix" skirts, they are not much larger than any of the other skits I've seen that are available.

They don't stick out all that far either. I probably could have just painted the bottom half of the sill and gotten a similar effect.

To tell you the truth, I don't particularly like the ix skirts either, nor any of the after market ones I've seen with the exception of the Breyton models. "is" skirts are too rare and didn't give me enough of an effect to balance the size of my front valance.

Anyway, the cheapness of these skirts will allow me to put more money toward finding a decent rear skirt. I'm thinking of something along the lines of the M-tech or perhaps the racing dynamics one.

IMO, the RD rear apron is too curvy for your car. The front is flat, the sides are flat, and that rear is angled, wont look right. I say find a tech2 look alike or breyton look a like for that flat look!

Nah, the RD looks almost exactly like the Mtech, and the slant of the RD is competely parallel with the iS truck spoiler.
