Honesly, who cares that they're Ford? They're just pieces of urethane with a Ford logo stamped on them. It's not like they're Ford intake manifolds or something, they're just a shaped piece of urethane. Shit, they're probably better quality than 90% of the aftermarket garbage out there.
For anyone that's interested, I've started a thread on the modification and installation of them in the Body and Paint forum.
Put the Taurus skirts on,

i attempted to just pull one off after getting the back screw off but the car was pretty much settin on the ground and it broke in half, also the edge that holds it on is pretty sharp, cut my hands up a bit. This happened to me as well....but something good came out of it.
I found out just how durable they are. I just pulled them off after I got 1 screw out. I figured if they broke I'd just get a different pair. After some forceful pulls and bends, they came off....no harm done!Leave a comment:

This happened to me as well....but something good came out of it.went to get some today and failed miserably, only brought a philips and needle nose, for everyone viewing bring vice grips or maybe a small socket set cause the ones i saw had a bolt rather then screws.
atleast i stumbled opon a fresh 325is and helped myself to its embelems and shift knob.

Just get some and give it a shot. All you have to lose is $10 and a few hours of your time.Leave a comment:

Why Josh? nobody wants bad Ford parts. The original Yamaha SHO engine with a stick well maybe but the rest of the junk bah.
Ford 500 rebadged a Taurus is funny too.Leave a comment:

I dig them because they fill out the rocker area a lot more than the IS skirts. E30s get a little empty and round down there when they have chunkier front ends, IS lips, etc. and it really helps to have something subtle, yet substantial down there. That's why the look of the Mtech 2 kit works so well - it kind of adds some clean, old-fashioned German slab-sided looks to the car. I think the Taurus skirts look hot, and you can't beat the price.
I've got a skirt idea of my own, but it'll have to wait til I find a car that isn't all fucked up.Leave a comment:

Blows me away how cheap they are. I might just go back this weekend and pull them all, and sell them on the forums.Leave a comment:
