the TD motor is dead, my buddy ran it at the 1/4 mile track on Propane mixed with the diesel, and said it ran good. on the way home, didnt realize that the belt came off the waterpump- and drove it till it quit.

      the TD motors suck anyway!

It being an 87 with plastic bumpers is what I was meaning by it being different. only for the first couple of months of building the facelift model did they run a mix of old and new parts.-- the car is a DEC 87 car BTW.

its going to be a 2.7 stroker, the diesel motors are WAY overrated by you guys in the states- esp. the E30 324TD

so, thought i would post up a few "progress" pics. I found a bunch of rust in the process of emptying the car out. so I guess i will be doing a bit of welding too.

got the front suspension in- bilsteins, with some springs from my old "red rocket" and some M3 CABs.

who needs a sunroof when you have footwell ventilation!
it has a bit more rust than I initially thought, but I have a bunch of sheetmetal and a hew tank of gas for my welder.

whats the size of the tires and wheels up front. they fill the finder nicely.

                      whats the springs also?

the springs are from B&G a 75 mm drop-- old had them for about 6 years atleast.

the tires are 205/50/17" snow tires from an e46-- free from work the rims are 17x8

It's not as rare as you think.

I think those wheels look awesome.

What's your opinion on M3 cabs? Some folks love em and other say it's not worth sacrificing low speed turn in unless you're routinely clipping over 100.
