Ok...so yesterday I went up to the Reins get together to see some of the old Volvo buddies I had not seen in over a year. Of course there were comments...all good but from one person (which was expected). Did 319 miles or so for the total trip and no issues what-so-ever. Swapped in the new (to me) instrument cluster from member '1fatcosmo', swapped in my speedometer to keep my original mileage...everything works...reading just past 100 mph on rt.91 and rt.95

Had to stop by a Building at work where we are having some electrical work done, asked our electrician if he could give me a 6" length of 12g copper wire. Jumped pins 7 and 19 on the spot to clear the inspection and oil service light before I left. Filled up with 93 oct. Passport Escort got relocated from my Volvo to the E30.

I really need to get my Recaro's re-done and installed....the factory 'i' seats are comfortable for short drives, but (I think) they leave a lot to be desired for longer drives. I need some lateral support.

Last week I ran sea-foam through the motor and poured some in the gas tank. Almost there.

          Wow, nice work man!

I'm about to start a mini resto on my 325 soon. This is very inspirational.

Thanks for the compliment, but it was a lot of fun. The rule I did my best to follow was try to do it right the first time to avoid removing and reinstalling again. There will always be somehting you have to remove again and put back, but the less that is done the better...avoids scratches, breaking stuff, etc.

Just out of curiousity, where did you get the plugs to cover the holes on the front bumper trim??

                      Thanks.

The plugs are a variety of hardware items form Sears Hardware section....where all the pull-out drawers are for the nuts and bolts.

                      You will need:
                      (2) screws to thread into the threaded hole
                      (2) hinged cap screw head cover in Black (in white in the picture) to hide the screw head
                      (2) plug caps in plastic, which you will have to drill so the screw can go through it (not inpicture)
                      (10) nylon washers for spacing.

The sandwiching order from bumper to leading edge of screw cap on the bolt: 4 spacers, drilled plastic plug, plastic hinged screw cap. Screw the bolt all the way in and close the plastic cap. ;)

I will do a write up...it is very easy, but kind of hard to explain.

Anyone on here use R-404A to replace the R-12??
Supposedly it is more efficient and non-hazardous to the trees and fishies....

As far as the exhaust tips are concerned, just tack weld them on.
