How do I register a vehicle as an historic vehicle?

To be registered as an historic vehicle (class L), your vehicle must be 20 model years old or older and must not have been substantially altered, remodeled or remanufactured.

A vehicle registered as an historic vehicle cannot be used for general daily transportation, or primarily for the transportation of passengers or property on highways. It can only be used in exhibitions, club activities, parades, tours, occasional transportation and similar uses. An historic vehicle 60 years or older may obtain a one-time, permanent, non-transferable registration.

You can apply to register your vehicle as an historic vehicle in person at any of the MVA’s full service branch offices. You also can mail the required documents to the MVA’s Mail in Registration Unit in the Glen Burnie office, or go to an MVA licensed tag and title service where they will assist you in applying. Licensed tag and title services will charge a fee for this service.

meh, i got an 84 318i that looks like shit but didnt need anything to make it run [and run well] for $350. Or an 83 533 for $600 that needed NOTHING, i could go on and on.

$875 for that needing as much work as it does is not that great of a deal. GL with the car.

OK don't be an even bigger dumbass now .

See the white car in my sig ?
With stock basketweaves and spoilers it cost me a whopping $650 .

I'm not trying to down your car ...just saying lets not get all excited about it being a steal for $875 .
Lets be realistic about it , how much did you expect it to cost ?
I mean hell , it is only a lowly M10 318 with problems afterall .

im happy with the what i paid for the car and the shape of it, it has a clean carfax and barely any dents on the car. usually cars this old are all rusted out and dented up...im just happy its not that...it needs a little tune up, so i am giving it one, in the end it will be a nice little daily driver. i am also thrilled i dont have to get emissions done to it. i could part this car out right now and make more money that what i paid for.

you guys seem to have found even better deals out there then me, good job on the finds. most e30s that ive been looking for the last couple months are priced much more then the one i bought and were in the same if not worse shape. so in the end you can say what you want but i am pleased that i found this car because it is exactly what i need.

teaguer--- ill admit i was a little rude there, and that white car in your sig is nice. did it come just like that in the picture? for the price you paid for?

oh ya i just figured out that my limited slip has 3.91 gears in her yay

i got a 1984 318i 2-door in like condition that i converted to a race car for $250 off ebay.
IMO, the average price for the 318i is about $500 depending on other things
