I've parted out several cars (old Subarus) in a day. When someone else is paying you to part it out for them, there's no time to BS and drink a beer.

He's already said it isn't a matter of time, he has plenty of that. It's just that he doesn't wanna fix her up. I wish he'd sell her to someone who is willing to put the time in to save a cool, rare car, but I give up on my guilt trip. It obviously wasn't working.

That said, I may end up wanting some parts off the car. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em...or whatever.

like i have said, there is more than just tranny problems, the body is not straight enough to fetch a price above 2. And again, i am parting it because i dont have to finish parting it before i leave. I just want to get some bigger things sold off and i will finish it later.

but if you are leaving the country for 10 months it could take easily longer to part all of it out too.... Just sell it like it is to someone here and make yourself a little extra dough or put it on ebay like it is and get what you get. Either way you should be able to double your money with no work at all..... not a bad deal if you ask me

I actually tried to convince myself that it'd make my car worth more, but it didn't work. I just got sad for what could potentially be a very happy iX. Now it's getting turned into Europe spending money. :sniff sniff: :(

Its not the fact that i am leaving a car, that’s no big deal i have space, its the fact that i would be leaving a car that potentially runs and i would have to worry about it. I already have my 89s50 that i have to worry about. I can make money parting it out for extra waffleswaffleswaffles in Europe and the rest can get sold when i get back. It probably will be more work but if it doesnt get done, its no biggy. I pretty much want to just liquidate fast and hard.

If someone wants to give me like 2000 for this i will sell it. I have done the math and flipping it just doenst make sence. The green car sold a month ago. OH and i have saved three cars from near death, that makes up for this one.
