So some might have caught the post I made a few days ago about picking up an alpenweiss 4-door. The seller ended up flaking out on me, so today I picked up a 1989 2-door schwarz. Here are some pics as I brought her home, and pics of the torn apart bronzit that will be going to the scrapyard later this week.
The schwarz car is an automatic which I will change when I change motors with the manual tranny and pedal box out of the bronzit car. The paint on the schwarz car is decent, but got egged a couple months ago so there is a spot on the roof that goes down to primer. The beauty about single stage black, is that it's the cheapest easiest thing to respray. Automotive black is black. At least that's what I understand.
She drives, nice interior, 157k on the clock, all the electrics work, the tint job isn't too horrible, can't find a spot of rust anywhere, and after looking at about 15 cars over the past three months in worse shape, all over 3 or 4 grand, picked this one up for 1300$ cash money.
