Thanks. That's a really good price. I haven't heard of the site, I'll check it out.

Which flashes are you using TJ? Good start. I think you need a larger umbrella or push the umbrella back :).

The e30 looked better imo ;). What's your name on flickr?

SB-28 (for off-camera only) and a 430EX. It really doesn't matter how big the umbrella is or how far back it is, on an object as large as a car its nearly impossible to not get harsh highlights when using strobes so small. Automotive studio shots use soft boxes larger than the whole car! And more than one of them.

My name is T.J. Lathrop on Flickr. I just joined so there are only a few shots on there.

I've got the 300D and have been looking at lenses. How do you like the 18-50? I'm looking for something a bit wider but the canon 10-22 is so damn expensive. I've heard good things about the sigma line.

I am happy with it. I like the 70-200 better because it has HSM and full-time manual focus. The 18-50 is nice for the money though. At the time when I bought, the only other option was the Tokina, but now Tamron and Canon make similar lenses (the 17-55 IS from Canon is awesome, but it's expensive).
