I know its not an e30, but here is my old Focus with 20 in the back three and 35 in the front. It served my well, but sometimes, the inconsistency bugged me. From certain angles, it all looked the same, but from straight on the side, you could really tell the difference. With the e30, im going to do it all one shade, most likely 35%. Here's what I mean with the shade difference at different angles.

        see what I mean?

my winter crapbox WAS nice looking, but it was a turd in disguise-- an automatic ETA that filled up with water like the titanic after hitting the iceberg, the windows all freeze up on the inside, and the floor is so soft that the jack went through it a few times. everypanel is FULL of bondo too.

Yes it is an Alpina front- I gave it to my buddy when we redid his ALPINA replica vert.

everything that was nice on it in that pic, except the sideskirts is all gone! Its even rolling on 14" bottlecaps now

I think I have seen the the pics of the vert. Is it Blue? If it's the one Im thinking of the alpina definetly went to a better home. Are they easy to come by in Germany

easy to come by???? if you look, you can find them. I think there is a compnay making knock offs now too.\
but that one I had for about 8-9 years sitting in my garage waiting for the right project.

                  yes the vert is blue.

Easy to come by as in they pop up on local forums/ for sale sites. Ya there is a compnay making knock offs in LA i think now. I would just prefer the real thing if the price were not outrageoulsy more.

I have 15% all around. I enjoy my privacy, and you really do get used to it.

Positives: Privacy during day, complete privacy at night. Those big truck lights shining in your eye don't bother me. Looks great.
Negatives: Can't see streetsigns at night, have to roll down the window. Hard to see people crossing street when you're turning corners at night.

Next car will most likely be 20%

Here's mine, 22% all around. I love it!

And inside, to see the difference in light:

My only complaint is that it is very hard to back up at night, because I can barely see my backup lights. I am on the lookout for some LEDs with the right base to replace the little incandescents.

because it never leaves the garage. I have only had it at 3 SMALL car shows since i have owned it, and always leave after an hour of taking pics of other cars.

I have had german mags ask me if they could do photoshoots of my truck and of my old lowrider, but have always turned them down. It just turns into too many people hating and talking smack about all the things that are "wrong" still.
