Alpina B10 and Friends

I had to go up to the DC-area for work on sort of short notice, and between the flights being terrible and the burning desire to see a pal's new toy, I decided to drive.

I'll just say up front that it was worth it. I really like the M635 for long drives - here is the car on the way to check out the toy:


So my friend Anita picked up an Alpina B10 BiTurbo not too long ago, and I've been dying to see it in person. The few pix I've seen from EuroFest haven't been enough, and I told her it was driving me nuts.

When I got there and mentioned that, she said "Well, wait until you drive it!"

(at which point I started to smile, and I didn't stop until I fell asleep hours later...)

I took a few pix of my car with two of hers (the Alpina B9 stayed tucked away in the "GarageMahal") I'll say in advance the light sucked, it was blustery, both the Alpina and my car had a fair bit of road rash and I'm not a great photographer, but you'll get the point anyway:

The Drive:

It is a she, and yes, she does. Over the last couple of years, she's gone from two pristine US M6's and an E39 M5 to an E24 Alpina B9, a Japan-spec E24 M635 and the Alpina B10 BiTurbo. Any they are all incredible...

She's a very cool lady!
