is this the wagon you are talking about? it took 6 months to
find a buyer with interest in a 5 speed wagon...it was a pretty
rare car with the combination of manual, premium and sport
packages, and heated seats...my local dealer had never seen
a wagon optioned out like this one...unfortunately, the market for
cars like these is not very large...i guess most wagon owners
are too busy dealing with the kids and groceries to shift...my wife
definitely got the looks--primarily from men--when she drove this
grocery getter...ended up working out a deal with a BMWCCA member
    from indiana...

the chip is great...i actually won an e34 chip last year on the bimmer.info
forum and never installed it...mark was really cool and let me exchange it
a couple of weeks ago for an e30 unit...

I use a 4.0MP Coolpix 4500, and I can't seem to pick up the depth in the paint that your camera does.

it usually takes a bit of tweaking in p-shop to get it really
looking good...that's what i do for a living, so it's no biggie...

get into the 'variations' function and crank up the highlights
and the shadows...it will give the paint a richer look without
                  losing the detail...

Whoa, we have the same car! (is that a 2000?). My dad was looking for a BMW 5 series wagon to replace our crappy Caravan. As they were looking at some E34 Wagon, the E39 wagon (exactly like the one above, except white) pulled up on a trailer. My dad asked about it, and they said it was a 5 spd with a sport package. He was instantly sold. We also use the stock 17" BBS rims that came with the sport package - I love those rims.

Unfortunately, my mom's defination of "clean" is no where near mine or my dad's - it's getting quite trashed. She never washes it (my dad or I have to do it) and the carpet has small stains everywhere.

Definately a fun car though. My friends love it. It's a sports car in disguise.

Black definately looks a lot better than white though... ;)

                      yeah...it is a 2000 model...we bought it back in 2001 with
18k miles...black is definitely the color to have--especially
with all the shadowline that comes on these cars...i've seen
other colors like silver and white, but the black on black really
streamlines the look of the car...

Extremely clean looking car, love the paint on it!

My only changes would be to lose the beefy looking tires, probably a 225/40/16 to cut down on sidewall height. Also the mirrors are not my style, the E36 M3's tend to look out of place on the E30.

But at any rate, good job on the car

I noticed that about the sidewall as well, Cramer. A 225/40-16 would look nicer.

already had the new set of tires, so i opted to roll with
what i had...will probably go with a slightly smaller tire
                            next time...

to each his own...in my opinion, the m3 mirrors give the
car a sense of movement that the stock mirrors don't...

Amazing car. I really need a paint job, but don't have the funds to do it right. Oh well, maybe sometime. Any interior pictures?
