no, they most definetly did not come that way; when I got them they looked like they had been rescued from a lake! the color in the middle is nogaro silver (that's how M3 Evo wheels came), the outer lip is body color. I wouldn't reccomend you try painting basketweaves yourself unless you have a lot of patience!

I'm not worried about the wheel weights coming off. after 10 years of driving it hasn't happened to me yet, and even if they did fixing any scratches on the wheels would be pretty easy (one of the advantages to a DIY job).
