For my motordrop and Max's first swap we used 1 jack and two stands. Just unbolt suspension and subframe and tranny with the jack underneath. Put the jackstands under the body. Lower the jack, get a couple friends and pick the car up over the engine while rolling back. Place the jacks back underneath. Fairly easy and very quick especially if you don't have a hoist.

I tried to tell someone this a while back and they all disagreed I just laughed, Ha.

This is the only way I do it I am building a complete front and rear sub frame to bolt up when its ready to race this summer.

For real. It definitely made things a lot easier doing it that way.

I did it that way, sort of... I did it alone after I wrecked my first one. I used a sawz-all for the front valence removal. Lifted the body and rolled the engine out the front with the wheels attached to the hubs.

out the bottom is definitely the way to drop a porsche 930 engine.

ive done it like that, engine hoist to lift up the car and rolled the engine from underneath. thought it went in from the top.

The M52 and ZF tranny will be going in with a hoist, but instead of using a hoist to lift the car, we just picked it up....
