    Agreed. Although I wouldn't want to touch most 7,000 E30 M3's.

Given what I just got offered for my car, I can promise you that this car could easily sell for that figure out here.

That looks to be an extremely nice, well-kept low mileage example.

    Glad you're happy with it.

Get an agreed-value insurance policy (or supplimental policy), though. Your typical policy is not likely to cover that car's value in the event of an accident or other incident that results in a total loss payout.

I dont know what you're talking about when it comes to those bolsters. They seriously do not make a difference. My father has a stock '89 325i slushbox and it has that same knee bolster, with the 3 slots ( gas, brake, clutch ). He is the first owner so I can vouch on it that it was never replaced. My car is a 5spd and it has a different knee bolster, maybe another change from 89 to 90.

Now as for your car mph, I think it was a waste of money. For a second e30, and a winter beater, you surely are spending a lot on it. Let alone the fact that you'll be taking the MINT out of it by driving it daily on the winter and exposing it to a higher chance of damage such as dents, dings, rust, paint fading, etc etc.

Like a lot of guys have mentioned it. That car has absolutely nothing of the optionals most iX's have. You have the stock 6 button OBC, no sport seats, no heated seats, nor maplight mirrors or anything of the like. That and the fact that it's an automatic, which may benefit you since you want a beater.

I will give it to you it looks very nice and it was well kept, however I honestly can't justify why you are making a beater out of such a nice car.

Good luck and enjoy the car....

This car is by no means a 'beater' and thus, it will not be treated as such. The car has just as much of a chance at getting dents, dings, and paint fading in the summer time as it does in the winter time.

Last time I checked, the OBC with the added features, the sport seats, heated seats, and map light mirrors didn't make the car worth less. The car is worth what it is and I paid for it based on that. I really see no use in having the extra features on the OBC. Why do I need to know what my 'average speed' is? Why do I need to know my car gets crappy gas mileage?

And as far as the whole transmission issue goes on these forums, an automatic is technically worth more than a standard transmission. If the options that my car doesn't have make it worth less, the fact that it is an automatic makes up for that.

Yes, it is true that most standard transmissions go for more than an automatic in the market, but I have no intent to sell the car anytime in the near future. Eitherway, I know I can get more out of the car that I put into if it came down to it.

I also called the orginal owner of the car, the knee bolster was never replaced. Furthermore, my 1989 325is (it was an automatic) also had a 5 bolster that had a slit for the clutch, as it is in my 1986 325ic right now.

In the end, your car, your choice, none of my damn business.

If you're happy, it's all that matters. Good luck with it.

I think the car looks great!!! And all those ad ons that everyone is saying it doesn't have are AD ONS, so if you want to get them they are pretty easy to ad on. Low mile ixs are hard to come by. Great find, I hope you enjoy your new winter E30!
