would it really make that much of a difference...
isnt like... u want to stop air from going under the car, for less downforce. how would a thin piece of plastic do anything? just wondering
that remindes me tho... i used to read Super Street when i was a ricer, now that i look back they magazine sucked balls but they had a couple good articles on aerodynamics and what not. and the chicks in there are pretty hot. sry to get of topic tho.Comment

Yes it does make that much of a difference. You don't want air going under the car because that air pushes the car upwards and generates instability.... that piece of plastic prevents a LOT of air from going under the car, and therefore downforce is generated, giving the car more stability at high speeds.Originally posted by Schneider325would it really make that much of a difference...

naw.. my clips are all new. I haven't hit the spoiler on anything so I'm not especially worried about it.Comment

sounds good. I was just wondering if the downforce provided by the splitter wasnt too much.... enough to put enough strain in the clips to break them eventually.Erick Mahle | FullOpp Drift | YouTube

They rip off pretty easily if you don't reinforce them... you need to run a few of the self-tapping screws into the lip for more support.
It makes a huge difference on M3's, and a signicant difference on E30's.'88 M3.2 S54 Lachssilber/Black

and as far as I can recall you did include that piece of hardware with your splitter right?
or was it only to attach the splitter to the iS lip?Erick Mahle | FullOpp Drift | YouTube
