Well, I have seen you car (the one from the closed discussion) and your stuff demonstrated in real life. I know that the claims you have made are true because I have seen it and I know respected people in real life that back you up.
I saw you car on the scales at the meet in Pomona I dont remember the weight but I do remember that it was more than 300 lbs underweight for stock class and it was unbelievably fast.
But I really do not understand why you act the way you do nhere like sending me the pm asking me not to be your cheer leader.
This is why I compared you to the tv character Dr House, you are brilliant, weird sense of humor and terribly self destructive.
These things will not stop me from buying the braces you produce because I respect the reality that you are as good as people have said you are at what you do and I have seen the results formyself but I am saying you are a hard person to like.

You've got to be shitting me. I tried to give you the benefit of the doubt for the longest time. But now...Last edited by Jand3rson; 12-08-2008, 09:01 AM.Leave a comment:

Stalker.
No, that's true, a few weeks ago I felt that way. Look, most of us aren't trained engineers, we need to look at the claims of our vendors and make a determination if they know what they're doing. I've been skeptical of strut bars in the past, but DC made some convincing arguments that had me reconsidering them. Now I'm forced to reassess all of his claims, in light of the last 2 threads. If he furnishes proof, that's cool, but my skepticism meter is pegged at this point.Leave a comment:

Daniel, just look, not two weeks ago, this same guy said this...I have to agree with the last quotes. Your credibility is pretty much shot here, and I'm speaking as a potential customer. You seem to have an incredible self destruction instinct.
If you manage to get pics of your full interior, air conditioned DD, ON SCALES, at anywhere close to 2200 pounds, I'll tune back in. Otherwise, I'm just gonna keep you in the same category as Heeter - ignore.
in refrence to your...And that experience is what makes you invaluable as a manufacturer. As I've gotten older I realize that anyone can screw shit onto a car, it takes someone with true knowledge to make a car better. When I do the M30 swap, I'm going to get headwork and a cam from a guy 1200 miles away from me, because he knows his shit. Daniel, thank you for being obscessed with the E30-mine will be better because of it.
And now he won't even listen to you. The internet can burn customer base with a few snafus.As a matter of fact I just had this insane discussion with a guy about dropping down through the trunk and bracing to the rear sub-frame... I just couldn't get the point across that that would cause shit to break...
He walked away thinking I was an idiot, because don't you know... "He auto crosses an e30 and has owned three" ... I didn't bother to point out to him that I've owned 7 e10s, 19 e30s (4 Ms) let alone what my job was at BMW AG and NA.Leave a comment:

So I was thinking maybe DCColegrove said s20, being a 2.0l, S-series engine. But, of the m42 basis?Google search for S20: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...20&btnG=Search
Google search for S42: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=bmw+s42
Not just "internet forums" referencing the S42.

You seem to have an incredible self destruction instinct.I never really considered buying any of your chassis braces or other e30 parts that had incredible amounts of "OCD" research and development backing them. I did, however, respect the apparent build quality of the pieces and the fact that you were making e30 products.
Now I know that you're a fucking retard with a friend who can weld. Your claims are stupid and defenses are worse.
Because of these 2 threads, ALL of your credibility is gone and probably most of your potential product sales through this site.
Stick to wedding photography.

Last few posts are really buttering your bread Colegrove. Don't worry, we would have still liked ya had it not been for the lofty, unsubstantiated claims. But now you are getting into murky water.Leave a comment:

Because bullshitting is fun until someone questions you, and you sidestep those questions.S42B20 (Version: 08/1995):
* Stroke = 85mm
* Bore = 86.5mm
* Compression ratio = 12.4:1
* Total displacement = 1.997ccm
* Rod length = 145mm
* Inlet cam = 312 degrees (spread: 94) (Eö=40, Es=48 (@ 2mm lift) )
* Exhaust cam = 304 degrees (spread: 98) (Aö=45, As=28 (@ 2mm lift) )
* Inlet Valve diameter = 35mm
* Exhaust valve diameter = 32mm
* Inlet port metrics: W=52mm, H=29.7, Radius=14.85mm
* Slide throttle diameter = 46mm
* Header = 4-2
* ECU = ECU4A.1
* Power DIN 70020 = 285PS / 207kw @ 8300rpm
* Torque DIN 70020 = 245Nm @ 7000rpm
* Max rpm = 8500rpm (FIA regulation "SuperTouring")
* Gasoline quality = Super Plus (Oktan min. ROZ 98)
So you made identical power to the above spec, but at 11k instead? Why?Leave a comment:

Yes... Never heard it refered to as an "S42" before the internet threads.
