I didn't say that you did, you have other cars but there's several responses from kids hating on a new car because it's not an E30.

You just hold a grudge against me because I don't believe the same as you.

I have no grudge. I think you will grow up in time.

congratulations to you i guess, if youre happy with it that matters. but i would rather have my 20 yr old bmw than any new american car with a/c and warranty.

thanks for openmindedness. I'll have my eta on the road again before long. The previous "owner" who didn't change the title over and i recovered from didn't take care of it. My e30 is in its early 20s and has rust, and has uncertain issues from decisions made from people who are not me

it's nice to have a fresh, new unabused car with heated seats, 6cd, stability control, etc. and M-F there is never a "what's that sound" moment

i could spend $$ to get the upgrades I wanted to an E30 and then keep it up daily, but i'm happy with the choice, even if others don't feel like it was what they would have done - i don't have to worry about maintenance

Since you're a "GM employee?" I guess it makes sense, but I agree if I was spending around that amount for a NEW car, I'd go a different route. Toyota, Hyundai, etc.

One of the people senior to me bought a Hyundai Sonata after having a pimped out 328... said he was tired of spending $2000/year on maint. I couldn't go out that way, and Toyotas bore me, but G6 fit what i was looking for.

The discount from granddaddy's employer weighed heavily... and i checked out a solstice but couldn't comfortably fit - knee hit the steering column or dash when i went to brake

I had a rental car in Miami and it was a G6.
Slow as shit, but was an awesome little car. Responsive steering, lightweight, good gas mileage, great sound system, iPOD hookup. Even had a Pioneer molded in sub with amp in the rear from the factory. :D

Not bad... I'm sure it can be a fun car if you wring it out.

Of course you're going to get haters if you post anything other than a European car here. Don't let it get to you.

You should have at least held out for the G8, and tossed on the Commodore front clip. That would be cool. The G6 is not.

No pricing deals on the G8, and the center console twists like crazy if you even lean on it. The Z06 had deals though... haha :) if only

G6 rides just like scabzzz mentioned. It's like an E36/E34 with decent suspension, brakes are a little vague but work, and power is there but flat with a pretty decent grumble for stock. Torque steer is barely noticeable. When you just put a little throttle on it from a stop, you won't realize how fast you are going until you look down at the speedo - I think it's the shorter gearing on the heated seat package that makes it like that. The power delivery doesn't make it seem fast but you get up and go though.

And aux-in for iPod, although in the dash, not under the armrest like on a E46, etc.
