you buy 60mm drop springs for a 318, then you have the drop you want. In Germany it is illegal to ride with 6 cyl springs in a 4 cyl. model or the other way around. there are alot of really low m10 e30s over here

I have 60mm drop springs on it right now.

What springs do the really low M10 e30s have on them?

Ken, I think your car looks fucking hot at the height it's at now.

It's going to look so fucking sick once you get the M-Tech I front and euro bumpers on it.

            60mm drop springs for a 318M10, not for a 6cyl model.

I thought the lowest you could get on a 318 is the cup kit or the IE stage 3 (6 cyl). I think Ken has the lowest "4 cyl" springs.
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.

Cup Kit doesn't work on early 318i's, or at least the front shocks don't.

I'm going to keep the springs I have now, but I'm going to take the pads out of the rear to drop it just a tad. If and when I get some 15"s with meaty tires, it'll fill the wheel-well out great. My front fender is 24.5" of the ground right now.

I like the level drop, take all the springs pads out, or leave them all in.

We just put IE Stg. III springs on SpoonE30's 318is, and that shit is SLAMMED now. Definitely one of the lowest 4 cyls I've seen.

What's the height of the front fender?

Does anybody know how much heavier the 318is is than the early 318i?

looks good ken, espcailly with thost nasty caps gone.

you guys have to keep in mind that kens car and mine are the earliest 3's meaning basically no sound dediner at all, no trunk tar, and a very light front end. it is hard to get it to go low, especailly since all the good springs are only made for 325's which are heaver all around beacause of the engine, trunk tar and the batt in the trunk, plus all the sound insulation. mine is a tad lower than yours now though ken ;)

So? I have no sound deadener at all anywhere in the car, no trunk tar, no OBC, no A/C, no cruise control, no heavy ass aluminum bumpers, no washer fluid (FYI water is 8lbs per gallon), lightened flywheel, no vibration dampener, tons of material removed from my head and intake manifold, C/F hood etc..

                              and I'm still slammed.

I talked to him today, he said the front fender is basically even with the stock 14s. The rear is about a 1/2 inch over the rear tire. I think it's a 2 inch drop in the front, 1.5 inch drop in the rear.

Checked these measurements and the drop is where I want it, so I'm joining the group buy, now it's time to save for some Bilsteins.

The 318is is about 2600 lbs.
