Looks great. I hope to see it in person soon, seeing that I'm moving right down by you tomorrow. We gotta meet up.

How much of an extra drop does loosing spring pads give you?
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.

        Maybe 1/4". Almost negligible.

James, it depends on the car, my rear ones were closer to 1/2".

what size tires are those? that's still quite a bit of fender gap.. of course it still looks great, the weaves are a ton better than the bottlecaps :)

True. My 318is came with super thin pads so it didnt really do much. What kinda spring pads does the '84 318i come with? You could at least swap out for some thinner ones.

They're 195s. It's hard to make an early 318 look slammed on stock sized tires (save for coilovers) due to the low weight of the car in the front and rear.

The pads on the top are about .5" thick and the bottom ones are really thin.

Its not hard at all to make an early M10 E30 low, all you have to do is buy the correct springs! looks better though. and new shocks on a E30 will not make it higher if you have real struts (bilstein)

He has blown stock shocks which are causing the car to sag a lot. Trust me, when he installs Bilstein Sports it will raise the car a bit.

                          They're 60mm springs. They'll drop a 325 about 2.5" or so. It only dropped mine around 2".
Which springs should I have gotten?

I think the IE stage 3 would only lower it about the same. We're just stuck without coilovers.

According to IEs website, the stage 3 will drop an e30 (presumably a 325) 2" in the front and 1.5" in the rear. Which would probably translate to 1.5 fron and 1 rear for my 318.

I had blown shocks all around as well, but it only seemed to raise the rear a tad with the bilsteins. ( makes for a nice mini rake I guess )
