Need Opinions Please..trade my 91 318i vert for 70 2002?

Sup guys, I went to get an estimate for a passenger door dent on my 1991 318i this afternoon, and the owner asked me if I'd be willing to trade. So I asked what he had and he showed me this newly sprayed white 70 2002 done right. I mean door jams, engine bay, trunk etc. Interior is cherry. All chrome and trim intact, all lights work except for signals and the relay/switch for the wipers need to be replaced. It has e30 bottle caps and the guy said the biggest downside is a custom sunroof?

Anyways, he's got me thinking but I don't know much about them but I've always liked the 02s. Please share any thoughts and if it is a good/bad idea. Here are pics of my e30.

I think you're about 60/40 in favor of getting the 02.If you do pull the trigger,I think you should have the 02 owner put some cash in with the trade.
I'm guessing he's also pretty psyched about owning your mint condition vert,which should work in your favor.

Trade that thing for the 2002. You will have a classic that is gaining value year by year, not to mention an iconic BMW.

Your vert is so nice looking. Don't let it go. If you trade he better have a couple grand on his side of things. Those wheels would be nice (i know that car in the pic has nothing to do with anything, but I'm just saying.)

The 2002 would have to be pretty damn nice and would have to have proof of no rust issues before paint. Last thing you want is a bunch of bubbles showing up the next few years. I'd personally keep the E30.

at this point without detailed pics of the 2002 I say keep your E30 - it's minty! I'm also skeptical about them cutting into the roof in the 2002 if I read your post correctly.. That would significantly decrease the value of the 2002 IMHO

^^^ +1 Am not too sure about a car being cut into like that. If the 02 was in mint condition and the roof wasnt cut. I'd say go for it, but not cut like that.
