Beautiful wheels, I agree that they don't fit the car but they are beautiful now.

Latest rare goodie from Levent
Pictures of the collection
Closeup of the real moneypit
Aftermarket 'Love the Ride' windscreen
OEM BMW windscreen
As you can see it does fit a tiny bit better.

I got sick and tired for the intermittent e30 window switches so I hit up the scrapyard and picked up some e36 window switches.
How it looks now
So I removed the center console to start the process of fitting in the e36 bezels.
This is when I try to figure out which is worse... the O or the C of OCD.
To give you an idea the following took 3 hours to do.
Made some templates
Driver side done
Found out the passenger side is harder to do since the bridges have small metal tabs underneath them to provide support. So if you press too hard or apply too kmuch pressure something is going to break.
Passenger side done
*sigh*
Now I wish I did the passenger side first so I could have matched the gaps.

So I proceeded to cut the old e30 switch harnesses off and prepared to solder on the e36 ones.
The solder attempt failed as my soldering iron couldn't get hot enough to get good penetration. So I ended up using butt connectors to connect the e36 bases to the old wiring.
Tested all the switches and one of them doesn't light up :(
I'll solder in a new bulb or swap out a light switch another time. So I put everything back together I'm pretty happy with the result
